ABOUT 

Maia Jansson is an illustrator and writer with a focus on editorial and publication work. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, and earned degrees in illustration (BFA) and writing (minor). With expertise in digital mediums, her goal is to create narrative work that is inclusive to diverse audiences.

 

Maia takes inspiration from nature, imagination, and folktales within her illustrations. She is adaptable to new environments and experiences, taking strides to overcome obstacles with a positive mindset.

Though she bounces back and forth between Savannah and her childhood home of Rhode Island, she aspires to continue pursuing her passions in New York, Boston, or Chicago.

When she is not working, you can often find her reading, watching K-dramas (her current favorite is The Glory), and writing short stories (she's currently working on a novella!).
